Cyprus is described as the third largest island in the Mediterranean. Its nearest neighbors are Egypt to the south, Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon to the southeast, Syria to the east, and Turkey to the north. The island's entire surface area is 9251 km². The TRNC's surface area is 3355 km².

There are approximately 350,000 people living in the nation. Nicosia serves as the capital. Famagusta, Kyrenia, Güzelyurt, Yeni İskele, and Lefke are other districts. To enter the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a visa is not necessary. The Turkish Lira is used as payment currency.

Among TRNC citizens, 70% have a university degree, and 99 percent are literate.

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus ranks 24th among the world's most livable countries. A Mediterranean climate prevails. Summers are hot and dry; winters are warm and rainy.
